Anything that is fruity is ever so refreshing. Fruit-based skin care products give a refreshing and cool punch to the skin. Summer fruits are not just super refreshing and beneficial for our body from the inside, they can benefit our body from the outside too. Pick you are favorite one- banana, mango, avocado or papaya. Mash the pulp of one fruit, add a tablespoon honey to it and ground oatmeal for the grainy texture of a scrub. Use it as a body scrub 2-3 times a week.

2. Banana and sugar
Mash the bananas in a bowl using a fork (or your fingers) and add the sugar and vanilla essence to it. It is better to use this scrub within a day or two but you can store it for 3-4 days too.
This is a great scrub for dry skin type. The bananas moisturize the skin and provide essential vitamins and minerals like Vitamin A, manganese, iron etc.
3. Tomato and sugar
Yes, the tomato is a fruit! This scrub would remove the dead skin and expose glowing and fresh skin cells. Take 2 cups of tomato puree and add 1 a cup of fine sugar to it. Scrub this mixture on your face and body in circular motions and rinse with lukewarm water after letting it stay for 10 minutes.
Use this scrub weekly to lighten the sun tan in a natural way.
4. Orange peel and milk
Grind orange peels dried in the shade and add ample amount of milk to it to form a smooth paste. The paste should neither be too runny nor too thick. Massage this paste on the affected areas in circular motions for 5 minutes and let it stay for 10 minutes. Rinse it with cool water and pat dry. Repeat this 2-3 times a week and you will see your tan reducing.
Scrubbing is a great way to rejuvenate your skin, and doing it with natural ingredients enhances its effectiveness. But you must take care of a few points while indulging yourself into this.
- You must take care not to rub vigorously, scrub your skin gently with these scrubs and rinse with lukewarm water.
- Your skin becomes sensitive post scrubbing, so avoid going in the sun as far as possible.
- Don’t overdo the scrubbing. It should be done once or at most twice a week.
- Scrubbing is definitely not something to be done on a daily basis.
- Avoid scrubbing in areas with cracked or chapped skin and around open cuts or wounds.
